About RiverHill Commercial
Experience you can build on.
RiverHill Commercial LLC is a Central Texas commercial general contractor founded by industry veterans Shep Gump and Matt Sitterle. We deliver tenant interiors, build-outs, renovations, and new construction with founder-led accountability: clear communication, documented process, and work that holds up from preconstruction through closeout.
Led directly by its partners on every engagement, RiverHill pairs that experience with a simple operating principle: be straight with owners, hold the schedule, and make sure the paperwork and the work both hold up. The result is a contractor owners can trust from preconstruction through closeout.
RiverHill self-performs through a trusted network of Central Texas subcontractors, holding the contract, managing the schedule, and staying accountable for the full job so owners have one point of contact, not a dozen.

Why RiverHill
Built for owners who want accountability.
Founder-led accountability
Shep and Matt stay involved from first conversation through closeout. You work with the owners, not a rotating cast of junior PMs.
One point of contact
RiverHill holds the contract and manages the full job (schedule, subs, and paperwork), so you have a single accountable partner.
Austin-local team
We're based in Central Texas and built for owner-led operators who want a contractor they can reach, trust, and hold accountable.
Documented, transparent process
Scope, schedule, and closeout are handled systematically: clear assumptions up front and steady communication, so you always know where the job stands.
Leadership
Founder-led on every project

Shep Gump
Shep Gump is a founding partner at RiverHill Commercial, leading commercial construction engagements across Austin and Central Texas. With decades of experience in commercial general contracting, he brings deep knowledge of how projects are won, built, and closed out, from preconstruction through final turnover.
Shep's approach is straightforward: be honest with owners, hold the schedule, and make sure the paperwork and the work both hold up. He stays involved on every job RiverHill takes on, not as a figurehead, but as the person owners call when something needs a decision.
Outside of work, Shep spends his time with family and in the outdoors: hunting, fishing, and cheering on his daughter at her volleyball games.

Matt Sitterle
Matt Sitterle is a founding partner at RiverHill Commercial and a lifelong Austinite with more than two decades of experience in commercial construction. His background spans field operations, project management, and owner's representation, a combination that gives him an unusually complete view of how projects succeed and where they break down.
That range of experience is what Matt brings to every client relationship at RiverHill. He understands the demands of ownership because he's carried them. The result is a contractor who anticipates problems, communicates clearly, and delivers.
Outside of work, Matt is devoted to his family and enjoys spending time on the golf course and exploring the Texas outdoors, always in Austin, the community where he grew up and where he's proud to be building something of his own.
The Team
In the field

Colby Miller
Colby Miller is a superintendent at RiverHill Commercial, where he leads projects in the field from mobilization through final turnover. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Schreiner University, a foundation in business and leadership he brings to the day-to-day of running a jobsite.
For Colby, the work is as much about people as it is about the build. A background in sales taught him that clear communication and earned trust matter as much as a clean finish, and he keeps owners informed at every stage, not just at the milestones. His focus is simple: run a tight, safe site, hold the schedule honest, and make sure the work holds up.
Originally from a small town in Southeast Texas near Houston, Colby now calls Kyle home. Outside of work he spends his time with family and friends, on the water whenever he can be, and hunting, fishing, and golfing.
